Founder questions, answered

What is WFMI?

Workforce management intelligence joins two records: WFM, the record of the work (schedules, hours, coverage), and talent intelligence, the record of the worker (skills, performance, proficiency). AI now joins them at five levels: job, team, project, machine and floor.

Who is buying?

Six category deals in 20 months: Phenom and EDGE, Dayforce and Agentnoon, Prometheus and Webalo, Resurgens and OrgChart, Main Capital and Orgvue, and Unit4 and Napta. Four buyers are strategic and two are sponsor platforms, and four of the deals closed in 2026.

What multiple does my firm get?

Talent intelligence clears 6.0 to 8.2x revenue on disclosed deals (median 6.6x), and WFM clears 1.5 to 7.5x (median 5.4x). None of the six category deals disclosed a multiple. On $10M of revenue, schedule-only WFM is worth about $54M and the joined model about $82M (illustrative).

Which firms are positioned to lead?

The briefing ranks two lanes of $1 to 50M North American firms. FinTech covers earned wage access and payroll payments, led by Tapcheck at $50M. HR covers firms moving into the work layer, led by Homebase at $49M. Few firms hold the join today, and the largest is under $80M.
